Irish Police Attack Peaceful Protest Against Shell part 1/2
 
"On November 10th 2006, a peaceful protest was held in memory of the executed anti-Shell activist Ken Saro Wiwa. Protesters stood on the road leading to the site of the controversial proposed Shell refinery in Erris, County Mayo, Ireland. At no time was the protest anything other than peaceful, and the police on duty were never in any danger. However, to clear the road for the Shell convoy, the Gardaí, led by Supt. Joe Gannon and Sgt. Conor O'Reilly, used extreme force to beat the protesters out of the way."
